Practicing For Tumbling

So, we had our first tumbling class on Tuesday (mommy and me style) and it went really well. Emily really enjoyed the forward roll (complete with "ta-da" at the end) and the obstacle course - but wasn't quite ready for the stretching, hopping, and bear crawling. Needless to say I think I got a pretty good workout "helping" her with all of those. :)

Anyway, I have been trying to practice some of these skills at home (mainly hopping) so she at least has some concept of what she is SUPPOSED to be doing. This class is 16-36 mos. and I am not worried about her abilities but, ya know, gotta practice! It is funny though... whenever I try to get her hopping, the word "hop" gets lost in translation and turns into "up." She ends up leading her own exercise class with UP-DOWN. Now all of you can join the class too!

(this was an adorable video of you telling me to go "up" and "down" while you did it too.  You were holding your water cup and little magnetic farm for the fridge... you were very insistent as always)

  1. Too funnny! It's interesting how they interpret what we are saying. Silly babies! Looks like you are on the right track, though. She did one hop...

  2. That is so funny! Love the little baby voice and her own "hop".
