Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday started, of course, with Emily coming downstairs to discover her basket from the Easter Bunny.

As predicted, she went straight for Ariel...

jackpot, Easter Bunny!
She was very interested in everything, including her sticker books...
but asked Daddy to free Ariel from her box right away.
Ariel was along for the trip to mass and the drive to Aunt Patty and Uncle Roger's as well.
Upon arrival, Emily was all ready for some egg hunting.
She had to wait a little bit but it was well worth it...





there were a TON of eggs!! This was the second of two full baskets!

Then I asked her to show me the basket full of eggs, hoping she would pull the basket out from behind her back...

oh, won't those teenage years be fun?!

While brunch was being finalized, Emily sat down with Daddy to empty her eggs...
there were lots of goodies of course!
We had a yummy brunch...
and then Emily spent some time learning about the iPad.

And even got a chance to try out a game or two.

It was so beautiful outside that we went out to test the Bubbles that the Easter Bunny left in her basket at Aunt Patty and Uncle Roger's house...
and just hang around a bit.

After a while there was some strange activity...
which turned out to be my birthday cake!! (It was delish AND the candles survived the transport!)
In the end, Emily was back at the iPad helping Trevor...
from a very short distance!
We had a fun day!
