I mentioned before that Emily was helping Grandpa with a project. She really was quite helpful, I'd say, and on Monday it was all done!

A magnetic board for the playroom! (since the only magnetic surfaces in the house are the washer and dryer)

Emily was pretty pleased and continues to enjoy it.

Also, while we were all playing Emily dreamed up her own "dance routine"...

complete with a beautiful pose at the end.

That night Daddy told Emily that he had a surprise for her when she finished her dinner. Once she was done he disappeared - telling her to cover her eyes while she waited.

But the wait was kinda long...

and not knowing what the "surprise" was she really wanted to get down!

But then...

all was suddenly grand!

A birthday cake for Grandpa!! (his b-day is Oct. 21st)

Luckily, Grandpa was willing to share a LARGE portion of the cake with Emily...

and she enjoyed every crumb.
(I must admit, I served her that HUMONGOUS piece of cake. I shudder.)
On Tuesday, we took Nana and Grandpa to the airport...

it's so hard to say good-bye sometimes. Come back soon!

A magnetic board...what a great idea! And I love the video. Emily can really cut a rug!

Good job on the magnetic board! Love the pic of her tired of waiting for the big surprise! What a yummy looking cake. And what a huge piece she got. Yea for Emily!
ReplyDeleteYour play room is looking like so much fun! I'll bet it's Emily's favorite room in the house. The magnetic board is a great idea - we have been meaning to do that in our laundry room - and I love the shaking tushie video - pricesless!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great project for Grandpa on his visit, and a nice birthday celebration, too.
ReplyDeleteP.S. cute blue dress, Em!
What a great little dancer you have!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great visit! Emily is so cute! If I were rich we would fly out to go to Sea World with you and then I would fly you here to go to Sea World again! I love the magnetic board... I have two frames in storage that I was gonna use for one and the other for a flannel board... fun!
ReplyDeleteCute little dance! I like that magnetic board and how you put it up on the wall! hmmm. where could I put one of those in my house... hmmm

Love the magnet board! We don't have any magnetic surfaces at our house either. And what an awesome cake! Happy birthday, Grandpa! Finally, Noah and I love the music video. Noah said "That's Emily dancing!"
ReplyDeleteWow, love the magnetic board, I'm going to have to steal that idea! What a fun visit from grandparents, I bet you love having the company!
