Well, we tried it again... another play date! Of course when we woke up there were thunderstorms in the area and our date was planned for the beach. AAH! Here we go again, right? But, nope... the beach was GORGEOUS and it was on!
As one would expect, Emily was pretty pumped to go to the beach and happily carried her bucket and toys...
ALL the way down... it was a long but beautiful walk!
And when we arrived on the sand... a play date WITH playmates!! WOO HOO!!
We were invited by Stirling - Emily's swim buddy - and his mom.
Wouldn't you know it though, Emily didn't care if there were other kids there or not... there was an OCEAN!
She had a total blast - the ONLY kid that went in the water - and stayed at the water's edge the entire time. 
This means that I didn't really get a chance to talk to the other moms - but it's okay because we should be able to play again in two weeks with this group. 
Things are looking up!
YEAH!!! I would "playdate" under those circumstances anyday - sunny, gorgeous and with Emily! Love that she loves the water.

Boy, do I feel ya! We really seem to beliving the same life just miles and miles apart! So it worked out! We found our favorite playgroup at meetup.com... they also have scrapbook groups, too!
