Trick or Treat
Emily was SO excited to get started I could barely get her dressed - really. Finally, she was all ready and we went outside...

to light up Jack...
give him a hug good-bye...
Did I mention that she was excited?!
First stop... her favorite duck's house...
where she transformed into her shy, quiet self.
She did very well saying trick or treat, thank you, and answering all questions but not with as much gusto as she had at home (or when we would walk away). Of course, the easiest houses were the ones where she didn't have to say anything at all.

We have never seen a cuter Goldilocks! It's so fun when they are so excited about doing something- even passing out candy in their underwear.

Love the costume so much! It looks like you had a super Halloween, Emily! You did quite well trick-or-treating in my book. You're right, the best part is seeing all the kids come to the door. My favorite part, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic by the duck! That's so fun that the duck is always to festive!
ReplyDeleteAren't you glad she doesn't know how great candy is yet!?!?
What an adorable Goldilocks Emily made!! Her hair looked so cute - she looked so old!!! What a fun time she had trick-or-treating! I agree - keep her away from the candy as long as you can! Once they know about it it never stops!
ReplyDeleteJanes first trick or treating experience ended with her waking in the middle of the night screaming (starting a six month long episode of night terrors) and her friend Jennifer woke up throwing up candy every few hours. Guess we let them get a little out of hand? Since then we have learned moderation is key. We now keep no Halloween candy in our house after Halloween. And that helps Mommy too! Glad to see you don't have to learn from our mistakes!
