Problem Solver

I was sitting on the couch nursing Everett this morning when Emily came in from the backyard and said, "I have terrible news. I teared (translation, tore) the flower." Confused, I asked her what flower and for her to show it to me when Everett was finished. She said, "no, I can't let you see it, you will be so angry." Then she continued with, "I have to get some tape so I can fix it." She then proceeded to walk to the garage and I knew she was looking for the blue painters tape I just had out. I told her that it was in the laundry room next to the sink. I could hear her in there trying to reach it and then heard her go and get her "step stool" (toy) that she uses in the playroom whenever she needs a little boost.
By this time Everett was finished so I followed her out to watch her work.

She was quite pleased...
and even did the Dora "we did it" dance.
Just like new!!
Have a problem that needs fixing?

  1. Emily is a genius! If only she knew that you can't actually fix broken flowers. Probably no point in telling her that. :) It's definitely the thought that counts!

  4. Oh that's just great! What a great problem solver, and I"m impressed she was able to actually tape it together. The tape used around here just ends up in balls on the floor!
