A Star Is Born

I didn't come up with the title on my own... that was the hair salon I went to for my FIRST haircut! See?!
Daddy and Mama took me there on Sunday saying something about how my hair has gone a little crazy lately and needed to be shaped up a bit. Mama whined a little about my curls, especially the perfect spirals in the back, but agreed that it was time to give in. Whatever... I just went where they told me and ended up in a fire engine with a Leap Frog toy!
I did get a little concerned when the nice lady came over and started covering me up with animal print and waving around some scissors...
but she also had a movie so I let it slide.
I didn't care at all when she wet down my head and started snipping. I just played with the letters,
and watched the movie.
Before I knew it...
BAM! My hair was cut and almost done!
She blew it out a little and told Mama and Daddy about how I was ready for big girl shampoo - interjecting every so often some praises for how well I was doing.

She said again and again how she loved my hair and reassured Mama that it may still thicken up... hair isn't really done changing until 7 years old or so!
Then she added some flowers...
and I was good to go!
Well, almost! They still had to give me my certificate...
complete with a snip of my hair.
No big drastic changes, just cleaned up a bit. Apparently it is working well too because Daddy and Mama keep talking about all of curls that have come back to life since Sunday!!
I would do it again... no problem.

  1. Wonderful first haircut, Emily! You were quite a champ and look simply lovely with your shaped-up do! It really is worth the extra money and effort to go to a real kids haircut place. You sure go the "star" treatment!

  8. So pretty. Every girl deserves to feel like a star at the solan! Joanne, Mike was the same... all the suckers, firetrucks, and elmo videos did not help... plus I think it cost me like $30 after tip and shampoo!

  9. It looks great. You always look great, sweet Emily! Looked like fun. I want to sit in that kind of chair from now on. Wonder if they make one for 30 some olds?!
