Daddy's Birthday 2012!

Daddy had to leave town for business on the evening of his birthday - the 8th. So, when he came home on the 7th he was greeted with his birthday signs...

and a surprise birthday party!
Emily kept saying, "it's your birthday celebration, Daddy!" I bet you can't guess who picked out his balloons!


Daddy has been traveling and then sick the last couple of weeks so Emily didn't waste any time that she could possibly be snuggled against him. (At this point he was on the phone with Great Grandma Velda since her birthday IS on the 7th.)
Of course, Emily seemed to be most excited to bring out his birthday cake!
She and Everett got front row seats...
and I think she helped with the candles too.
Everett was very proud of her!
We couldn't stop the celebration there though. Since he wasn't flying away until the evening, we went to his office on his actual birthday...
and had lunch together.
We hope Daddy had a very special birthday because he is very special to us!

*This year's pictures were printed VERY poorly and after two attempts, could not be remedied. Good thing we live in a digital age and I can easily get them printed at a better place next year. At that time, Emily's pink will be light and pretty and the door will be white!
