On September 19th Emily found a "Magic Egg Baby" at the hardware store. Intrigued, I bought it for her and we took it home. The instructions told us to give it some water and to refill the basin every day to keep the egg wet.
They also said that as the inside got wet, the top would pop off and allow the MEB's hair to grow.
By the 24th, MEB had sprouted a little bit of hair and was looking pretty cute.
And by the 27th, "OH MY GOSH!"
(gasp!) MEB's hair had grown significantly!!
Emily enjoyed running her fingers through it.
Then October 1st rolled around and, whoa!
Emily knew for sure that it was time for something to be done.
So she set to work cutting her hair.
Pausing to check it out...
then cutting,
and cutting,
and cutting,
and cutting.
(Oops!)
Finally, "ta da!"
Lastly, she gave her a kiss to bless the new do.
All I see is a cross between Vanilla Ice and Kid n Play.
I think we are ready for a Chia Pet.
