Yesterday, Emily watched me curl my hair and said she wanted curly hair too. So, last night after bath we pulled out the sponge rollers.
I bought them for Emily a while back because I used to have my hair rolled for every special occasion as a child.
It was fun being the one to put them this time around.
I explained to Emily that they are kind of hard to sleep on but that once she fell asleep it would be fine. She was all for it and totally excited... until she laid down. Then she begged for me to take them out. So, I took out the ones in the back and left the top ones in until this morning.
Then I used some hot curlers to do the back quickly before school...
and styled her hair.
Yay for mama/daughter fun!

ReplyDeleteThe heading picture takes my breath away. Emily is so pretty and precious. Putting hair in curlers brought back many(painful) memories... of my Mom and me and of course curling Sarah's hair. The discomfort was always worth it! Not to mention the anticipation of what it was going to look like!

Cute hair! I did this for Elizabeth, but her hair looked crazy curly - not such soft pretty curls. You did a great job Allison!
ReplyDeleteAww... I hated those rollers! lol But it is a good lesson every girl might as well learn early... sometines pretty is painful! She looks pretty proud of those curls! I did pin curls in Addy's hair a few weeks ago still cute and a bit more comfy!
