Emily's Thanksgiving: Week 1 of Trip

Shortly after school let out we were on a plane bound for Texas!

We were at Nana and Grandpa's house from the night of the 22nd until the morning of the 28th and Emily really enjoyed her week! Before the cousins arrived, she enjoyed reading with Daddy (and her new Tinkerbell),
and playing "pool" in the garage.
But once the cousins arrived she had a whole new kind of fun!
There was time out racing the car at the park,

merry-go-round riding with Lauren,

swinging,
more merry-go-round with the whole crowd (including two neighbors),
and Aunt Sarah brought some window clings too! Emily and Cooper spent a lot of time putting them up...

and moving them around. Cooper liked the idea of making them silly while Emily preferred that they remain in the proper spots.

Emily relished all of the cousin time.

She also got to go with the whole family (minus Mama, Everett, Nana, and Great Grandma) to a movie! She went to see Arthur's Christmas - and made sure to let Daddy know right away that she wanted POPCORN!
The movie was in 3D...
and the fashionable glasses were not wasted on Emily.
Back at the house there was also some Wii playing,

and posing for the annual family pajama picture.

(Emily did not miss the opportunity to run around in her "dress" singing When Will My Life Begin (reprise2) - from Tangled. Yes, that's right. I am that familiar. Mainly from the CD.)

Aunt Sarah, Uncle Reagan, Lauren, Cole, and Cooper all left on Saturday - which left a little time for Daddy and Grandpa to entertain with the Wii...
and for Emily to help set up some Christmas decor.
Emily was a very enthusiastic helper...

until the boring "wait time" for the igloo to fill up with air. That's when she spotted the leaf piles and jumped back into When Will My Life Begin (reprise 2, again).
"Just smell the grass, the dirt, just like I dreamed they'd be!
Just feel that summer breeze, the way it's calling me! And for like the first time ever, I'm completely FREE!
I could go running, and racing, and dancing, and chasing, and leaping, and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding...
and splashing and reeling, and finally feeling, now's when my life Be-GINS!!!!"
As you can tell... it's a fairly regular occurrence. And every time she belts it out with much gusto! :)

On Sunday, the 27th, it was time for Daddy to fly home so we dropped him off at the airport and then met up with some friends at the park. It was VERY cold and I took ONE picture. Emily and Sophia - born one week apart.
On her last day at Nana and Grandpa's, Emily made sure to get some more Wii time in. This time she played Mario Kart by herself and repeatedly chose to drive into the water.
She thought it was hilarious and Grandpa had a good time too.
Whew! What a week! But it seems like a million years ago already. Thanks for the fun!
