Yesterday, the day we were flying away to Texas, I went with Emily to school. It was their "Thanksgiving Feast" day and I was excited to help in the class for the morning. As soon as we arrived, the kids put on their feast day headdresses and necklaces that they had made.
The table was set...
and the turkeys were displayed.
I encouraged Emily to try out the trikes - she hadn't ever used one and didn't have any experience with pedaling (since her bike is a balance bike).
and had a GREAT time riding...
before she got a turn in the motor development room.
She was a pro at launching her bean bag HIGH in the air...
(see the ladybug soaring at the top of the pic?) and all of the visitors were impressed.
When the obstacle course, etc, were finished each kid was given pompoms...
and paraded around outside.
Then it was time for some climbing,
sliding,
and warming her hands by the fire...
before cheering on other paraders,
putting on a puppet show,
It was a fun and full morning for what promised to be a fun and full day! Time to head home, get the luggage, Daddy, and Everett, and go to the airport!
What a fun day! And sounds like it was a busy one too. What a cute little Indian!
ReplyDeleteGood times! We all know Emily loves a parade. Happy Thanksgiving...hahaha!
