Anyway, yesterday when I was putting Emily in her highchair for dinner I discovered this (right wrist, hard to see in pic unless you click to enlarge).
And when getting ready for bath I found some more here,
here,
and here.
Once in the tub I watched those spots get bigger and new areas develop.

She even ended up with some on her face - but none of them bothered her and as a precaution she had a dose of Benadryl before going to bed.
When she woke up today everything was clear but a few hives have popped up throughout the day (it will stay in her system and potentially cause problems for 5 days). I think the offender is sunflower seed and we will be visiting an allergist to (hopefully) confirm this and move on. Do you want to know the best part? I think her reaction is to a bar with this label...
"Also made without casein, potato, sesame and sulfites. Made in a dedicated nut- and gluten-free bakery. Ingredients have been additionally tested to ensure strict allergen control standards are met."

"Also made without casein, potato, sesame and sulfites. Made in a dedicated nut- and gluten-free bakery. Ingredients have been additionally tested to ensure strict allergen control standards are met."Go figure!
Holy cow! I can't believe they didn't bother her, and I can imagine how disheartening it was to see all those bumps pop up. Glad she's OK and you seemed to figure out the culprit.

Oh dear! Poor little thing. :( I hope you can find the bad guy quick.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Poor baby, at least it didn't seem to bother her and you figured out the offending food pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteScary! Good thing you had the Benedryl on hand. She's all smiles regardless.
ReplyDeleteawww, poor thing...maybe she will get a present in the mail today and she will be all smiles (as will Mama) :-)
ReplyDeleteOh what a bummer. Hopefully you will be able to real out the "offending food" soon.
ReplyDeletePoor girl! I hope it was just the sunflower seeds! Good for you for not panicking...I hope the allergist can figure it out!
ReplyDeleteMikey gets hives occasionally. Have yet to figure out what causes them...
