It is hard to believe, but there ARE other places to go besides the zoo. On Sunday our family of three visited one such place - The Science and History Museum (with a focus on the Children's Museum inside).
It doesn't seem like a very nice welcome, but Emily was happy to be eaten by this alligator right off the bat...

and she got right down to business in the hospital. She was a fabulous pediatrician, weighing the baby...

and listening to her heartbeat.

Unfortunately, something must have been terribly wrong because she whisked the baby right off to the ambulance.

(We were very proud of how well she waited when a couple of other kids thought that this was a public museum and that they TOO could drive the ambulance.)

After she had dealt with the baby emergency she did a little check of Daddy's eyes,

and her own...

before moving on to the bubbles,

and trains.

Then came more fun when she visited the grocery store!

Apparently this vegetarian (Emily isn't a fan of meat) thought that she needed two large chickens!

But then she found the bread...

That's my girl!
What great photos -- the museum looks like a great place to occupy a kid! she looked very much like the expert shopping at the market. There is the Pretend City Museum here in Irvine, CA. I will wait until you move out here and we can take the kids together!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a neat museum! We have yet to take Noah to one of those. Can I join you and Jenn on your adventure? Can't wait until we are SoCal neighbors!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun! I am so excited to go now!!! We haven't been to it since it has been redone but I got passes for my birthday so I am so excited to go! Looks so cool with the dr.'s office. I guess Erin guessed it right with the desert pic on fb.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this place the COOLEST?! We bought a membership on our first visit and have gotten way more than our money's worth. It looks like all three of you had a ball! Hooray!

P.S. I love the modest fallen fountain photo...hilariously adorable!
Oh what fun!!! I can't wait to take the boys now :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great place to burn off some energy. Maybe we can all meet up there one day before you all head to CA??
Such a fun place! Glad y'all got to go. Like the last pic...Emily's fountain in front of a fountain. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great outing! So glad you got to enjoy the nice weather.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip! We've been a few times but the water hasn't ever been on (too cold!) I can't wait to go try out the outside section! (did you guys see in the hospital section where you got your height taken by the talking thing with a camera...I thought that was so cool!)
