On the Road Again

So as I mentioned in the last post - we headed out of town again at about 5:45 on Thursday evening stopping for a couple of restroom breaks...
before arriving at Aunt Sarah and Uncle Reagan's house in KS at 11:45.  The plan was for Emily to fall asleep in the car (since she was sooo overtired) which she did! ... at 10:15 - UGH!  I wasn't able to get her to sleep again until 1:30, she awoke at 6, and I pulled her into my bed for another hour.  The exhaustion continues...

Friday was a lot of fun.  There was breakfast with Grandpa,
a surprise from Aunt Sarah,
(heart shaped bracelets!)
climbing,
sliding,
and zip line pulling.
Emily was really excited when Lauren and Cole got home from school (Cooper was sick in bed)...
and was happy to have someone go DOWN the zip line so she could return it to the top again.
It was so pleasant that all of the kids were outside to play.
That night we celebrated Nana's birthday with chili dogs and Dilly Bars.  Yum!
Emily was quite excited about dessert...
but ended up unimpressed.
I think the ice cream was a bit cold and she let me have my Dilly Bar back after just a couple of bites... yay!
On to Saturday and Sunday...

  2. What fun for Emily to have the big kids there for 2+ days! I loved the phone report I got from her with the roll call of everyone in KS!!
