Monday night was date night - for Mama and Emily. Daddy was out of town so I decided that we would have a date. First we went to dinner... while Emily waited for her high chair she flirted with the waiters.

(totally distorted picture showing how she would turn back to me giggling)

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant Emily started talking about the animals (at the pet store in the same area but out of view). We haven't been there since July - the pet store even longer - but she knew where we were immediately. I told her that if she ate a good dinner then we could go see the animals. She ate, are you sitting down, an entire piece of chicken (chicken tender size)! It did have some breading but that is huge for her people! Soon after Emily paid the bill, we were walking into the pet store.

She was very happy to see Nemo,

the lizards, snakes, rodents, and the birds - but the parrots are a little loud for her taste so she wanted me to hold her.

Once home, Emily ended the evening with a nice bath...

complete with some kicking practice.
Great idea to have a date night, just the two of you. Makes Daddy being gone not so hard on Emily, or you!

Emily's laugh is hysterical - I love it! What a fun date night with you and Emily...you looked like you both had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLove her laughter in the video! When I read date night, I thought maybe you and Paul found a sitter and got to go out on the town. But if it couldn't be Paul, sounds like you found a great date. :)
