Sunday Funday

When Emily awoke from her nap on Sunday afternoon she had a BIG surprise - Uncle Adam and Aunt Angie!  They arrived during her nap and Emily was very glad to see them.  Right away Emily sucked them into a favorite - puzzles!

As Mimi was preparing dinner, Emily got a peek in the food processor and declared that it was "beautiful!" (parsley and such)  Uncle Adam had to have a look too...
before Emily got to watch it in action.

Then Emily was looking for Uncle Adam in Papa's binoculars and taking pictures of him too.
She found him near his precious Penny.
(They have a new dog that was there too, Chief, but I don't have any pictures.)
Emily enjoyed her time with both of them.  Thanks for coming down to see us!!
Since Uncle Adam and Aunt Angie had to drive a ways to get home on a work night there was still time before Emily had to go to bed.  Uncle Ryan, who also came over that afternoon, told us he had rafts in his car so we decided to go back to the lake.
Emily laid like this with her hands up for about a minute before I told her she could rest them down on her legs.
Mostly they just floated around...

but Emily HAD to throw some rocks too.
Then I joined her on the raft and it worked just great with the two of us.
She continued to throw rocks,
hang out,
swim away from Uncle Ryan trying to get us,
and laugh as Uncle Ryan "fell" in the water again and again and again... Emily doesn't tire of the things she likes!

When it was time to get out Emily tried wearing her towel several different ways...

as she - that's right, threw rocks!!

It was a very nice way to round out a great day!

And how fortunate Mimi and Papa are to have such a beautiful lake close by to float in. Looks like your trip to Texas was a huge success. Glad to have you back in CA!
