Last Week...

Beginning on Monday, this is our week in pictures.

We spent a little time at the park - Emily started with the matching game...
she did well and was happy - 
and then moved on to other things.

One of which was washing her hair under the "shower"...

and on the way home she had her obligatory visit with the duck in his new outfit.
On Wednesday night, Emily did her first painting on the easel.

She asked me to help her...
but seemed to be unimpressed with my work.

Daddy got a much more favorable reaction for his contribution...
before she finished it up.
Without prompting she turned around with a big "TA-DA"...
and ran a few laps with her celebratory arms still in the air.
Since my painting skills were not appreciated, I went in to do the dishes and was surprised to find Emily hanging outside the window.
Thursday was pretty relaxing -
we spent some of the morning at the park where Emily played with this little leafy bug...

(he didn't last too much longer after the next picture was taken)
and baked blueberry muffins that afternoon.



On Saturday we had friends over for dinner and I think the kids liked playing in Emily's backyard (Ben and Addison pictured below).
Emily and Troy are two months apart and spent much of the time playing side by side - mostly because each really wanted what the other had.  :)

On Sunday night Emily and I were able to go hang out with the same kids at their house.  Emily enjoyed watching a movie with them after dinner...
and REALLY loved playing with Mia when she joined the party later.

I don't know that Mia was quite so enamored.

So there you have it... our week.  Sorry we have been absent.
