Mimi Comes to Town

Emily was very excited when Mimi surprised her at school on March 15th! And as soon as we got home, Emily asked her to sit down and play Yahtzee.

That evening, Emily and Mimi looked through our photo book from 2011 and Mimi had Emily CRACKING up with different things that people were "saying/thinking" in each picture.
Really.
Cracking up.
Then, on Friday morning, Emily helped me make cake pops.

And, of course, was allowed to have one all her own.

After Everett's morning nap, we all went over to be pampered a little at the nail salon. Emily was able to watch some of a movie...
while Everett was able to watch the pedicures.

Then, Emily got her very own nail polish...
and Everett was sticking out his feet - hoping for a pedicure.

Emily chose green polish with white polka dots.

Later that evening, we took Mimi over to a hotel where she would be meeting her friends for the weekend (a celebration of her birthday in January).
Emily packed a bag... I guess she figured that since she is a girl, she should be included in a "girls weekend!"
The kids did get to grab some snuggles...
and Emily some extra hugs...
before we finally left them alone. (Emily had a hard time leaving.)
I was able to meet up with the group on Saturday night for dinner...
and then we went back to the hotel for games and cake pops!
It sure was nice to have Mimi in town and participate in some of her birthday fun!

  1. What a treat to have your Mimi in town! You sure are a lucky girl to have your nails done, make and eat cake pops and spend some time with Mimi's girlfriends. Looks like you had a blast!
