On March 29th, we met Mimi, Devon, Carly, and Lina at the Zango Zoo for some fun! Right inside the gate, we watched a bird show.

This bird was sent out to retrieve a dollar bill from a zoo guest, and later returned it to her hand. (This picture shows the bird flying away after giving the bill back to the woman.)

Then, with Emily's help, we planned our route.

We decided on our new favorite loop that takes us past a lot of animals (though not NEARLY all of them) including the large cats,

elephants, giraffes, vultures, and the polar bears...
(where we had to take some pictures)

before exiting via the moving walkway above the trees.

Carly and I got a little time to talk...

as did Emily and Lina.

It was a busy and fun morning indeed.

(In case you are not familiar with our "family speak," Zango=San Diego. How Emily pronounced it the first time we visited the zoo.)
There WERE actual animals besides that bird, they're not all cement or stainless steel. Fun day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day! Everett is such a trooper! You sure are lucky to live close to the most amazing zoo!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Glad you added the definition of Zango. I was really thinking, now that's a weird name for a zoo. :) Cute! Looks like a great day for a visit to the zoo. If we ever make it to CA, I definitely want to visit the Zango zoo. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun times at the "Zango Zoo" with good friends! By the way, my little brother used to say "Erniversal Studios." We went about three times a year with our out of town cousins. Hee, hee!
