Easter!

I hope you have a cold drink and a snack for this post...  ;)
Easter Sunday started off beautifully with a little bird feeding.
(and deck decorating, hehe)
Emily was very excited to come inside and find her Easter bucket.  (If I know the Easter Bunny, s/he was thinking that a new bucket every year might be a good idea.  Especially once we move.)
Emily was really pumped about her bunnies and ate some straight away.
Then she was on the lookout for some more treats...
but only found a squirrel that had come to enjoy the spillage on the deck.
Before heading to mass we snapped a few quick pictures...
and after mass, Emily did a little egg hunting.  Unfortunately, they started the hunt before everyone got there so she just kept finding the one we had with us already.  Oh well, she thought it was fun...
I think the hunt at home was a much bigger hit though and before everyone was assembled outside to watch (and take a million pictures, videos, etc.) she was ready!  Papa had to slow her down a bit...
before GO time!!
She didn't waste any time locating the eggs...
both high...
and low.
She even found the ones that Uncle Adam had hidden.
We must have counted her eggs a million times because every time we thought she was done, a few would disappear and be re-hidden!  Crazy!  She would have stayed out there all day if we let her and was hiding her own eggs when I was telling her we were all done.
After lunch and nap she was right back outside for some more fun...
before our yummy dinner.
Normally Emily does some winding down after she eats but not this day!  She just wound up, up, up playing with Uncle Ryan...
Aunt Angie, and Jackie.
By the time she opened the rest of her presents she was soaked - good thing that didn't stop her from enjoying some great goodies!
Can't ever end a holiday without a group shot...
and pictures with our favorite Easter guest, Dele.  Glad you were in town, hope you had a great time!
Happy Easter everyone!

  2. What a lucky little girl to have all the eggs to herself! And of course, all the attention! As soon as Nicolas saw Elimy's basket toys, he started yelling "TRAINS!! TRAINS!!" I think he approves.

  3. Such good times with the family! Love Emily's dresses. I have never seen those before. Where did you get them. I've been checking out Crazy 8's and Gymboree lately. I've also got a coupn for Children's Place burning a hole in my pocket that can only be used in store.

  7. Wow, what a wonderful Easter you had, Emily Rose! Actually a whole weekend! I love that you kept hiding and re-hiding your eggs and your dress was just gorgeous. We should hide eggs every day...I think Noah and Jack would love that idea, too!
