Our Climber

I know Emily is not the only little girl who climbs, but she sure does climb A LOT! Like when she decided that standing on top of her zebra AND jumping was a good idea... or when I found her on top of her less than sturdy pedestal table.
There was, of course, the time I found her on top of the house in the closet...
(maybe she will ride horses)
and the moment that I didn't even have time to grab the camera before grabbing her. Picture it... Emily standing in the seat of her wheeled highchair, in socks, and leaning over to the counter to retrieve Baby. I was only vacuuming up crumbs for two seconds!
She does climb things that were built for climbing...
but tends to enjoy finding things around the house to climb even more.
(she is multi-talented really)
Thankfully, she does throw in a very "low" climb every once in a while - even though it has the added thrill of being on wheels and on tile.
But, the best climb for our little one year old so far has to be her climb up to...
(yep, that's right folks...)
the attic!
Emily, is there any anxiety medication up there for Mama?!

  1. Seriously! You need some medication for that attic climb! I think might as well!

  2. Wow, she is a serious climber! You got some great pictures of her climbing. You'll have to watch out for her when you have another baby; you'll turn your back for a second and she'll be scaling the walls!

  3. I don't know whether to laugh or call CPS. Hehe!!! Seriously, you can't turn your back on her for a second.

  4. Well I would definitely say that Emily is more than just a casual climber after this post. I'm surprised Mama has survived this long (hee, hee). Seriously funny, though!

  5. I didn't realize she was such a climber! I agree with jessica - you're going to have to watch out when you have a second one...luckily my first is the safe one ;)

  7. The two pics of her in the study could be taken directly from a Dr. Seuss book!
