We arrived at Mimi and Papa's house on Thursday evening and on Friday morning Emily was on the lookout for a good time right away.

She spent most of the morning hiding...

and just playing around in general.

After nap it was time to dye eggs!!!
Emily was excited...

and Daddy had the camera ready.

Of course, like last year, Emily preferred making a splash with her eggs,

and didn't understand why Mama kept trying to "help" her with the spoon.

There were a few eggs that were saved after the first good soak...

but most were dyed again and again and again.

Emily did not want to stop dying eggs and made it quite clear. Thankfully though, Dele was there with some stickers for a distraction while dinner was prepared.

(cute pic of Dele and Papa playing Emily's new Family Memory game)

Because Emily LOVES the "pool" (and also because some water time would help reduce the amount of dye in her skin) she got to go swimming after dinner - wearing her fishy suit for the first time.

She and Papa had a great time in the spa and we spent the rest of the evening outside. She splashed,
stuffed crackers in her mouth,

played,

and even spied Uncle Ryan and Jackie upon arrival.

That wasn't the end of the fun though. There was an interesting version of the Hokey Pokey,

(that Emily LOVED)

some table tricks,
Now THAT looks like a great day!
ReplyDeleteWow what an amazing Good Friday you had, Emily Rose! I absolutely love your egg dying technique (almost exactly like Noah's) and the fact that you dyed them over and over and got such an artistic crackling effect. Your fishy suit is so cute and it looks like you had a ball playing with family and friends (hi, Dele) all day long. They just kept coming and coming. Can't wait to see what you did on Holy Thursday...
ReplyDeleteLove the family Easter portrait!
