A Date with Dele

On Wednesday, the 11th, Dele came to see Emily in her new home!  She arrived during nap time and when Emily woke up Dele was there to greet her.  It didn't take long before she found the way to Emily's heart and they played on the floor with the ball...
and then her dolls.
After a little playtime we were off to the beach since Dele loves it just as much as we do!

Without meaning to, we went to a new beach during a very low tide.
It is a very popular time to visit that beach since out in all of those rocks are thousands of little tide pools - the perfect place to see all kinds of sea creatures.   Since we were without shoes we stuck to the rocky shoreline where we spotted sea snails, fish, washed up lobster (really, BIG lobsters)...
and lots of hermit crabs like this little guy.
Emily really wanted to swim but wasn't too keen on the seaweed that kept wrapping around her legs.At one point two little furry-type seaweed stopped on both of her feet (looking like little pom-poms) and she stood completely still and said, "what's that?!"  She didn't move until the tide washed them away - pretty funny.
That evening back at the house, we ordered some pizza and Emily opened a couple of  presents from Dele.  The BIG hit was this bubble gun.

Thanks for coming down to see us, come back any time!
