A New Favorite

Last Saturday Emily had some money to spend at the Disney Store and she chose a package of cars (from the movie which she had never seen).
She was really excited about them (not so much about the picture above) and held them very close to her through every store...
and in the car.
She even took them out of the car and into Babies R Us where I almost had to show my receipt because the guy thought we had pulled them off of the shelf there.  (I was expecting that but I told him, "I have the receipt to show you - she just really wanted to hold them."  He said, "I can see that!")
Finally we were home and, at last, it was time to open her cars!!

Of course just opening isn't enough, they have to be released from the jaws of a million twist ties.  Emily was still excited...
and wondered how long it was going to take to get all 6 out!

The last one out of the package?  The tractor - probably her favorite one of all.
That night Emily wanted the cars to eat dinner with her and Daddy had a special surprise in store - he went out during nap and bought her the movie!  She couldn't believe that her cars were on the TV!
They remain a favorite toy and can be found anywhere she is.  Except for when they hide, which they do a lot under the couches and chairs or last night when I found them all on my pillow.  (I told her they couldn't nap with her but could sleep on Mama's bed.)
On Monday, Emily saw the Playdoh Fun Factory and not knowing what it is for (we haven't played with it yet) she decided that it made a great ramp for her best friends.
I think she made a very good choice with her money at the Disney Store!

  4. Sophia loves those cars too! I'm not really sure if it's Russell or Sophia, but we keep getting more and more of them. I love how she wouldn't let go of the box.

  6. What a smart little shopper she is. I have a gift for her from D.C. but it doesn't have wheels. I hope she likes it anyway...

  7. Hilarious! I'm so glad Emily likes cars as much as baby dolls.
