Weekend Visit

Two weeks ago Aunt Allison was out in our neck of the woods and came by for a weekend visit!  Of course, Emily took her to the beach.

Same beach as the last post - we had the beach house as home base and received some parking help from Mike again too.  THANKS MIKE!!!

It was a beautiful afternoon... 
the perfect day for the beach...
AND Emily had her bathing suit this time!!!

Unfortunately, we did not.  This was the trip that we learned that Emily will not be content to splash on the shore... she wants to go ALL IN!
Now we will always need a bathing suit too.

An extra treat on this beach trip was that Kyle, my oldest friend I spoke of before, was there!
It was so fun to see him - just like old times at the beach, except for the whole being a lot older and me having a toddler parts.  :)
Oh the stories we could tell...
Brian, Emily's bestest new friend was there as well.  
After a while, Emily was sufficiently frozen...
so we headed to the pier for dinner...
(Emily discovered that she likes the breading on a corndog too.)
and a stroll.

Eventually we made it back to the house where Emily got dressed and snuggly warm.
Then she found the boys playing chess...
so she did a little flirting.
She made me walk out there with her since she was too shy but REALLY wanted to go and when we did she said she wanted to play with the "castles" too.  Where did she learn enough about castles for the chess pieces to trigger that in her mind? 

Moving on.  

On Sunday morning we were off to the farmer's market... Emily thought she would just ride WITH Aunt Allison - no need for that silly car seat.
While I liked the produce, 
Emily's favorite parts were running around the tree,
climbing the tree,

and petting the vendor's bunny.

It was a fun morning trip.
