Last Sunday, the 17th, Emily and I spent the morning doing yard work. When I was trying to get her bundled and ready... she got away.
But soon I was able to get her dressed - and out we went.

She spent the first 10 minutes or so calling for the lizard like this..."Lizard! Where are you lizard?"...

because he WAS there in August.

After I convinced her that the lizard was napping, she was ready to sweep...

(even though her mitten came off)

and eventually earned herself a break.

Remember all of the work...

that went into making this?

Oops!

I think Emily was a little worried at this point and chose to hide...

or she could have just been doing a little impersonation. ??

By the end of our two hours outside Emily was filthy

and I was worn out. BUT... the yard does look much better and we had fun.
Nice to have such a great little helper! Even in work clothes she's adorable.

I wanted to see an "after" picture like in those diy shows. Great that you were able to work outside for TWO hours with Emily staying occupied. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, gonna have to make another footprint mold before the feet are too big!! How nice for Mama to have an assistant who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
ReplyDeleteLove the boots -- before and after the mud. Hopefully, Emily helped you clean up and didn't make extra work for you!
ReplyDeleteI love that Emily will spend 2 hours in the yard with you! What good dirty fun!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so cute all bundled up. Love the pics of her looking for her lizard friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! You, Emily, and the photos tell a great story. I felt like I was right there with you, yet I didn't have to exert myself doing the yard work!
