Now don't get crazy people... this is not about OUR new house - we are no where close. B-U-T, Nana and Grandpa did buy a new house this week and we were able to go see it this weekend.

Behind their house is a pecan orchard and retention pond that is pretty full from our recent rains. This is where Emily started her tour - it was full of ducks after all!

Once she scared off the ducks it was time to go in the front door with the happy new homeowners.
Emily was a little perplexed by the fact that there wasn't any furniture.
But she soon decided that she was actually a fan of a house with empty cabinets,

pocket doors,
and plenty of room to run around.

Plus, it had a staircase!
(Emily wasn't allowed to go by herself so she would wait for someone to take her.)
It was a bit chilly inside and out - why heat a house no one is living in? - so to warm up Emily ran around...

spun wildly with Daddy,
and when all else failed - she snuggled with Mama.
We love the new house and look forward to all the fun we will have there. Until then... farewell!
Beautiful house!Looks like it has plenty of room for lots and lots of fun memories. Emily looks so cute all bundled up!

ReplyDeleteGreat new house!! Beautiful!! Congratulations to Nana and Grandpa! When do they move in?
ReplyDeleteI agree, beautiful new house! Looks like Emily enjoyed visiting it!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that's adorable about her saying "Love you too" I bet that just melted your heart!
ReplyDeleteLove that Emily gave the house the once through! Thank you for posting pictures - I can't wait to see it. I do think it should be in say New Mexico or Arizona so we could all meet there. Missing that girl, give her kisses. How perfect she is saying "Love you too" right around Valentines Day - her timing is perfect.
