Bowling for Birthdays

On Saturday we met up with the whole fam to celebrate Mimi and Paul's birthdays.  We decided to go bowling even though none of us had been in YEARS - and we had a blast!  When we first arrived Papa got everything set up on the computer and was telling Emily all about it.
Then, since no one else was using it we grabbed the ramp so Emily could be included in the bowling fun.
(Please note the outfit change.  Emily was so hot and, amazingly, Mimi and Papa brought her a spring outfit as a gift - we changed her almost immediately.)
They say it takes a village to raise a child.  Well, that is certainly true when you have to keep a 19 month old occupied and SAFE at a bowling alley.  Thank you to everyone for sharing the work!!
In between our shifts on "Emily watch" we bowled two games.  Some frames were better...
than others.
In the end, Papa and Paul tied for high score...
and we wanted to take the shoes home.
After bowling we headed to dinner where Emily talked on the phone,
ate Uncle Ryan's salad,
and just goofed around in general.
Paul even snuck a bow in her hair for a little while.  WOW!
To finish off the day we had cake and presents back at Adam and Angie's.
What a fun fun day!  Let's do it again!

  1. What a great post! As you know, we went bowling Friday night. Too funny. Jane would like for you to know that the place where all the bowling happens is known as a bowling CENTER, not an alley (and has been for years). Love y'all! Happy birthday to Mimi and Paul!

  4. Wow I am exhausted after that post! Emily is a busy girl, and looks like she helped everyone have a good time and maybe even a good workout.

  5. What fun! And what a great way to celebrate Mimi and Paul's birthdays! I did not know that toddlers could bowl. We'll have to look into that...
