We were lucky enough to have some family visit this past Sunday. Papa's twin sister, Aunt Carolyn, and Uncle Jerry were driving through our area on their warm weather getaway! They live up in Washington but since they are both retired they chose to ditch the cold for some sun! Emily was very happy to wake from her nap and find someone new to play with...
and later that evening my cousin Jodie and her fiance, Larry, were able to join us for dinner too. The "boys" watched some football...
while the ladies talked - and Emily went back and forth between the two.
After dinner, Emily saw the crowd at the table as a "captive audience" so she brought over her flashcards for a little show. She had just opened them that night and she was very proud of her knowledge.
To end the evening, Jodie and Larry went in to Emily's playroom for some fun. They may have had more fun between the two of them...
as Jodie "helped" Emily call for the firefighter and tell him exactly what to do.
Luckily the playroom was able to be saved from the fire... thanks Larry!
It was a short short evening...
and a short overnight visit for Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Jerry too...
before they were off on their adventure again.
